These paintings started as an assignment to create something based on a song I felt represented myself. I worked with "I Got You" by Split Enz. The idea grew into me visually representing my feelings of anxiety and confusion on identity. I drew inspiration from bowling alley carpets and bus seat patterns to keep connection with the 1980s song, as well as feeling they represented my style well.
